:) Thanks! I really liked this photo myself. The sky blended so seamlessly with the white in the petals, really creating a stark contrast with the red. And the blossom... so big that if I cupped my hands...it would completely cover them.

wow =) i dont know jack about photography =P but i really love the composition. I really like how you got that front leaf in focus too, it looks like the flower has popped into the photo waving at you :D

thanks! I was using my macro lens, which serves as a portraiture lens also. The depth of field is adjusted so that the foreground is sharp and defined with the background fading out.

hee. it is a friendly flower isn't it? Huge too...that blossom was as big as my head!

:omfg: wow! woo i actually understand what your going on about! i use macro for my origami models =) (if im honest only because a friend pointed out it worked better!!)

it reminds me of the dandelion in the disney version of alice in wonderland!!! he looks like hes going to start barking or roaring..or whatever it did!! =P

I'll have to try using my camera with origami. I love origami, never thought to photograph any of it. *ponders*
