Literature Text

She stands in the sun in the garden, the earth warm about her hands. She breathes in the scent of growing plants, of the things of earth and man...

He comes walking down the road, on the path of straight black stone. His form is dark, it's far away, but he's heading towards her home. She knows
the man from eons past, she knows his essence well. She knows his reasons for coming here, she knows he comes from Hell.

Moving through the quiet house, she quickly dons her robes. For ages now, since the death of men she'd forgotten them like long lost hopes. The world
had been so empty for such a long, long time. But now the end comes closer still, and she hopes he will be kind.

He walks up to the door, which opens on it's own. He walks into her sanctuary, invades her quiet home. He stands there in the entry, so tall
and strong and dark. His clothes are black as deepest night, his blade is long and sharp. His eyes find hers and he regards her, so close now to the
end, his long time long lost enemy, his one time long lost friend.

Moving to him quickly, she takes his hands in hers and looks into his eyes. Hope and love he finds there...and the memories of those who've died.
She is soft and delicate and a beauty, so deceptive in her roll...the warrior sent to slay him for he took a mighty toll. He sees her understanding of his part in everyone's last breath, and sees the unrelenting resolve that marks his own swift death.

She leans forward gently and kisses him on the lips. Her arms move round about his form and she holds him to her chest. For an instant he tries to
fight her, to cause her pain and grief, but as the desire flees him and he finally feels great release. The weight on his soul is unburdened...his task
is finally done...the horror that had been his life is a battle finally won.

So the Angel holds the Vampire and dies with him in her arms...for their lives were intertwined by fate...to live and love and harm. The Vampire was
his master's tool, the bringer of greatest death. The Angel was his nemesis, keeping the children safe from his vile breath. Her mighty sword many times met with his, fierce lightning in the night. Both were ever perfectly matched, both never won the fight. Matched and balanced perfectly the light dies with the dark. Together for eternity, one true and loving
heart.
This was actually written a while back, but it's truly one of my favorites. I'll put up the second bit later. I so need to draw some artwork to go with. One of these days...

edit 7/25/8: Clearly, I need to go back and revamp quite a bit of this deviation for grammar and diction. The soul of the piece is still as wonderful as I ever felt it to be...but I REALLY need to put in some serious editing time.

IF you read...thank you! It will be better soon!

I don't understand how you can say this is not as good as mine. This is FAR better than anything I've written.
